Event Information:
Thank you for your interest in the On the Warwick Line Living History. It is our goal to present an event that is mutually beneficial to the Endveiw Plantation Historical Park and the visiting Public. However, it is especially our endeavor to prepare an event, which will be both remarkable and memorable for you the “LIVING HISTORIANS”. We are looking for 30 top–notch Living Historians for the purpose of conducting public educational programs. We will be representing men of Brigadier General Ambrose Powell Hill’s Brigade of Virginia Troop. This packet contains basic event information, rules, regulations, and registration material. While we hope this information will prepare you for this event, we understand that it may not answer all questions and concerns. In such case, please remember that we are as close as a phone call or an e-mail away. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Event site: The Endveiw Plantation Historical  Park. Needless to say, this is hallowed ground. We expect the land to be treated accordingly with respect. All company evolutions will be conducted in the large open fields on site.

Program:
To provide the finest quality of living history for the Public. Present the life of the Virginia Infantry soldier during the early days of the American Civil War; to present the hardships that the men under General John Bankhead Magruder faced in the trenches around Dam no.1 at Lee’s Mill. To show the tactics, infantry evolutions of the line and skirmish formations that were used during the War Between the States. This will be accomplished through the showing of camp life, presentation on uniforms, weapons, tactics, skirmish drill, marching evolutions, and weapon firings.

Demonstrations
: Demonstrations will consist of company evolutions, firings, skirmish drill, uniform, accouterments and weapons. We will provide the public with a better understanding of Civil War battlefield tactics and the Southern fighting man.  

Activities: Some of the activities will be life of the soldier, camp life, ration issue, cooking demos, music, medical interpretation, uniform and accouterments, infantry tactics, etc.
